Prevent Suicide
Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the US, claiming an average of 129 lives per day, totaling 47,173 lives per year (CDC, 2016). Additionally, an estimated 505,507 people visit hospitals due to self-harm; yet, this is not a complete count of attempts as many go unreported or untreated (CDC, 2016). Statistics are alarming. Suicide MUST be stopped.

We at The ORION Foundation are committed to preventing suicide. And we want YOU to join us in our fight.

Though suicide does not have one root cause, you can start by being aware of warning signs and using the 24/7 lifelines: 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or text START to 741-741.
